Also know as New Zealand Flax or Flax Lily.
• Sword like leaves, also known as New Zealand Flax makes a dramatic addition as an architectural specimen plant in a border or container. In hot summers it may send up a spike of tubular, red flowers followed by seed heads. A wonderful addition to any garden.
Tidy away any dead or damaged leaves in late spring and apply a mulch of well rotted organic matter to stimulate new growth.
