Protea Cynaroides - king protea

Protea cynaroides, also known as King Protea or Cape artichoke flower is an evergreen shrub. It has a sparsely branched habit with leathery, elliptic leaves and terminal, bowl shaped flowerheads 15-30 cm across, with red to pink or cream bracts.
