The sago palm (Cycas revoluta) is a popular houseplant known for its feathery foliage and ease of care. It can even be grown outdoors.
While the name might imply that it is a palm, this plant is actually considered a cycad, one of the oldest groups of plants dating back to prehistoric times.
Mature Height after 100 years! 3 metres. Very slow growing if indoors or in a pot.
Water weekly in the summer and once every two weeks in the winter. Let the soil dry out completely before you water again.
The Cycas does like light, but not strong, midday sun.
The plant loves morning and evening sun.
