Clematis x triternata 'Rubromarginata' is a hardy deciduous woody climber with an unusual marzipan or almond scent. The strongest scented clematis on the market. Grows in more challenging conditions than most - will tolerate dryer soil and part shade. Thought to have raised by Cripps and Son in 1862.
Flowers over a long period - July to September - masses of small 4 sepal bright mauve flowers fading to white at the centre.
